Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe strawberry, passion fruit, and grapefruit with hints of melon and grass. Velvety on the palate with flavors of watermelon and strawberry, hints of zest, and a minerally finish.
Method
We de-stemmed and macerated (soaked the skins) the Sugarloaf Syrah for 12 hours before going to press. The free-run and pressed juice were blended together in tank and fermented for approximately 22 days using R4600 yeast. After five months of aging in tank, these two different styles of rose were blended together and cross-flow filtered before prior to bottling on July 3rd, 2020.
