Tasting Notes
Concentrated aromas and flavors of mountain blackberries, blueberries and ripe plums lead into vibrant notes of vanilla, nutmeg and black pepper. The mid-palate is silky and mouth watering with notes of wild berry jam, grape bubblegum, semi sweet chocolate chips, tobacco, clove and a hint of pomegranate. A dynamic lingering finish of black tea and white pepper followed by fun subtle hints of lemon zest and mocha.
Method
A blend of equal parts Gamache Vineyard, and Sugarloaf Vineyard Malbec. This fruit was hand-picked, hand-sorted, fermented in small bins and barrel-aged in a blend of 40% new French and Romanian oak from Seguin Moreau Cooperage and bottle-aged 6 months in our cellar prior to release.
